EXPERIENCE
• I am currently developing an interactive story telling machine to make abstract data visually understandable. Building connections between narrative processes and clear, useful visuals, the project explains difficult concepts in an unexpected, interesting way.
• I have been selected as a participant on Visualizar, an intensive workshop to develop visualization tools at Medialab-Prado, Madrid. I led a team of three people to develop my project called “Humanflows”.
• I am one of the contributors and developers of Random Clapping, the IUAV Interaction Design student website.
• In Italy, I have worked as freelance graphic/interaction designer for various clients including the Mayor’s Office of Venice.
• I have won two italian contests on product design.
• In the past years I attended several workshops in graphic, product and interaction design.
• I am particularly interested in data visualization as a tool to understand complex multidisciplinary processes.
• I have a solid experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I can model and animate 3D objects in Cinema4D. I am learning Actionscript 3 and improving my Java/Processing skills.
LANGUAGES
Mother tongue: Spanish. I have a very good Italian, and speak and write English well. I know the basis of Japanese.

That Sinking Feeling

A visual information system which gives the user an immediate sensation/information about the present and future conditions of the high tide in Venice. Even if the high tide is a big problem for the city, the system finds a poetic and simple approach to the matter, making possible to live and enjoy Venice’s water without being worried of sinking in it.
