The concept of Snowball is to bring poeple in a sort of mountain trip, where they can enjoy by starting a snowball fight. One of the aim is to transform “buchi di tempo” into moments of amusement, diversion and of social contact. The application simply put the users into a scenario that detaches from the ordinary routine and makes the people connect each other.
USERS
Snowball is orientated especially to students and people which have a lot of little spare time during the day. Anyway, everyone can use it, on condition that Bluetooth and Java must be incorporated into mobile phone. These two technologies are essential for the application to work.
STAKEHOLDERS
- Final users
- Companies which provide extra content (new emoticons libraries, sounds, snowballs, avatars, etc…)
- Coffee bar owners, bartenders, (in case two ore more users decide to meet)
MOOD
The mood of Snowball is fresh and young, the interface is clear and recalls the spirit of one of those snowball fight done for fun.
GOALS
- Detects users in proximity;
- make vibration if they’re cloase each other;
- exchange files with them (snowball fight);
- send files from an archive, download new files of take them directly from microphone or camera;
- profiles visualization;
- give the possibility to meet for real.
AIMS
The main choice that is put in front of the user, is to choose our application to spend the time in advance to make new social moments. The ordinary flow of life disincourages new relationship and that’s what we want from our application: to help people build bridges each other.
CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS
- People don’t like to wait, this application could have success first of all because it gives an opportunity to fill downtimes;
- people like positive unpredictability (meeting by chance someone you discover to like helps your mind);
- the software is easy to use, moreover is customizable;
- reprises the social phenomenon of “know-and-go” and “fast message swapping”.
