People with agoraphobia gives a lot of value to the mobility but, paradoxically, in severe cases an agoraphobic may be confined to his home (such people may live for years without leaving their homes). Some people with agoraphobia are comfortable seeing visitors, but only in a defined space they feel in control of.
Moreover, a research has uncovered a link between agoraphobia and difficulties with spatial orientation.
