Our elevator pitch is a sort of poem in the Neapolitan language, which  tells the basic contents of the social software. We chose that mode because Neapolitan culture is based on “old proverbs” and old traditional songs: so we want to conect Neapolitans to their roots.  

“Nuie crerimme a San Gennaro…

Mmò può chiedere o’miracolo a San Gennaro premmenne sulo nu tasto coppe o cellulare.Mmò tu può alluccà mmiez a’na via, fa freddo sì, ma cant’O’Sole Mio,magnano o’casatiello rà pasquetta, cu ata gente che a Napule nascette.Si e Napule e te vuò sentì sempre chiù napulitano?OPERAZIONE SAN GENNARO!”  

“In San Gennaro we trust…Now only with one click on your mobile phone you can ask a miracle in real time to San Gennaro.Now only with one click you can speak noisy, singing O’Sole Mio, eating an original casatiello in the cold street of the cold Venice with other original Neapolitans.Do you want to feel a real Neapolitan?OPERAZIONE SAN GENNARO!” 

 Our project starts from an analysis of Neapolitan stereotype, to arrive at a social software for mobile phones that satisfies the needs of Neapolitans living in Venice, students and workers far from their dear Naples. Basically the software helps these people to join up with other Neapolitans. We use only Neapolitan to make an “invisible bridge” which is always reliable (in fact, few people use the software — only Neapolitans), and permits all users to totally understand all its functions.
