Till Nagel
Till runs this Lab’s Processing workshop. He received a Diploma in Media and Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences (FH), Wedel in 2002. He has been Lecturer at the Berlin Technical University of Arts since 2006, and has taught workshops on mashups and information visualization at FH-Potsdam and FH-Wedel. An Associate Researcher at the Interaction Design Lab of FH-Potsdam, he worked on the pan-European project MACE: Metadata for Architectural Contents in Europe. He was Project Leader of MACE’s Reactable-like interactive ‘maeve‘ installation for the Venice Biennale 2009.
Nicholas Zambetti
With Luca de Rosso, Nicholas ran this Lab’s Mobile Prototyping workshop. He gained a BA in Philosophy and a BSc in Computer Science at Florida State University, and a Masters in Interaction Design at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea. He has worked as an interactive product designer and interactive multimedia developer, and has designed products for Artemide, Droog Design and Mattel. His work was shown at Milan’s Furniture Fair from 2005 to 2007. Since 2007–08 he has run workshops at clasVEM’s Interaction Design Lab 1. During the 2008–09 Lab he developed LiveView, software to simulate iPhone applications with Flash. He is an interaction designer at IDEO, Palo Alto, California, who generously sponsored his time in Iuav’s Interaction Design programme.
Luca De Rosso
After finishing his studies in a Technical high school in Electronics and Telecommunication, Luca took an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano. He graduated from clasVEM, Iuav’s Visual and Multimedia Communication graduate programme, specialising in Interaction Design. His thesis project was a musical instrument for bit-slicing: Otto. In 2008 he spent five months as an interaction design intern at IDEO, Palo Alto.
