aim
The project consists in a data visualization of Othello’s drama by using bars to identify the number and the lenght of cues of each main character. The aim of the idea is to visualize, in a graphic way, the evolution of the characters through the five acts of the drama according to how many times they appear and start a dialogue.
interface
On the left of the screen, the bars represent the number of dialogues of each character in the all drama; on the top, the number of dialogues of each characterin every act; on the bottom, when you click on one of the act, appear bars which represent the sequence of cues between the characters and the length of these bar changes according to the length of the cue.
colours code
I identify the character with a colour according to the main behavioural aspect of each in the drama:
Othello (red/passion and jealousy), Iago (green/envy), Desdemona (white/innocence), Roderigo (brown/perfidy), Cassio (yellow/loyalty) and Emilia (light pink/ingenuity).
