Exploring the possible design opportunities, we defined eight scenarios of different users’ behaviors we think are the most likely. An animation representing each scenario can be viewed at the bottom of the page.
1. User passes by the door but doesn’t enter the Sotoportego. The user misses the first cue, but successfully understands the second . Video
2. The user might completely miss the second cue. The user will hear the sound of a door slamming after missing the cue. Video
3. When a user starts the route but quits midway through for any reason the installation will not reactivate. Video
4. When a the user walks slowly the installation will try to make him or her regain a good pace. Video
5. If a user wants to outsmart the guide by walking faster he or she will “hurt” the guide by stepping on its feet. The guide will express pain but will automatically jump before the user not allowing the user to be ahead. Video
6. When a user is about to finish the route and another user is about to start it the guide acts normally. Nothing should change because both users won’t interact. Video
7. When two users coincidentally meet at the starting point at the same time the device they carry (the key) will begin to sound. It will emit the sound of keys rattling. In one scenario they can walk the route together. Video
8. The same scenario could occur but one of the users may go faster than the other user. Video
